Eastern Province Minister, Malozo Sichone told the settlers that it was important for the people affected to leave the place before further misunderstandings arise with the Malawian government on the international boundary.
Mr. Sichone says that the situation at Mwasemphangwe should not sour the relationship the Zambian government has enjoyed with Malawi.
Mr. Sichone was speaking when he inspected the boundary in Lundazi district.
He further explained that her Royal Highness, Chieftainess Mwasemphangwe has already offered land for the people to settle in Zambia.
Zambians were found to have settled in Malawi beyond the international boundary comprising a number of households.
Some villagers affected include those in Samwa, Tilos, Bandwe, John, Chaja and Mwangula.

Cotton farmers in Chief Chinunda’s area in Chipata district have called on government to help in ensuring that cotton companies offer better prices during this year’s marketing season.
Chamakanga Section chairman, Mgaiwa Banda, told Breeze News that unless government through CBZ, the Cotton Board of Zambia monitor the marketing process fully, farmers will not fully benefit from the sale of their crop.
He also explained that concerns among cotton farmers are now growing, over the delay in the official announcement of prices for this year’s market.
Mr. Banda says this is worrying farmers, that companies may offer low prices like last year.
And Mr. Banda has appealed to CAZ, the Cotton Association of Zambia, to be more proactive and represent farmers fully.

The Ministry of Community, Mother and Child Health in Lundazi district has received 13,000 doses pnumococcal vaccine and measles vaccine second dose.
The two vaccines are meant to prevent pneumonia and measles in children.
District Community Medical Officer, Dr. Allan Chisenga has confirmed to Breeze News, stating that the vaccines are targeting children under the age of two.
Dr. Chisenga says that government has decided to introduce the two vaccines in the district because of high burden of diseases with respect conditions, which the vaccines can prevent.
He explained that most children at the OPD, Out Patient Department present complaints of cough.
Dr. Chisenga further stated that Lundazi district experienced an outbreak of measles where more than 6,000 cases were recorded.
He says that this was the reason why the Ministry of Health had to recommend for a second dose to improve on the immunity in children.
The community medical officer has advised medical personnel to grasp the importance of the newly introduced vaccine.

Bus operators in Chipata District have been reprimanded for the bad display of behaviour by their staff.
Speaking at a meeting that was held at Kapata Hall yesterday, the Acting Bus Station Manager for Kapata Station, Lanson Phiri described the behaviour of the call boys as appalling.
He says that stiffer measures need to be put in place to ensure that members of the public who board the buses are not harassed.
Meanwhile one of the bus supervisors, who was present at the meeting Charles Tembo accused the council of not doing enough to ensure that the rules at the station were being upheld.
He says that the meeting was way over due and alleged that some of the security officers from the council fail to reprimand notorious callboys because they themselves report to work drunk.
And the new chief inspector, Paul Samamba says that he will not tolerate any nonsense at the station and will ensure that any call boys reported to have harassed a client will not only be fined but taken to court.

The church in Eastern Province has been challenged not to be amongst those wishing President Michael Sata ill health.
Bread of Life Bishop Joe Imakando says that the church should instead pray for Mr. Sata so that he enjoys good health.
Speaking in an interview with Breeze News, Bishop Joe Imakando castigated those who are wishing the president ill health stating it was unAfrican and unchristian.
He called upon all peace loving Zambians to pray for the president to finish his term.
Meanwhile Bishop Imakando says that it is unfortunate that men of God are the ones being found with cases of sexual defilement.
He says that these are false prophets who need to be exposed adding that there is no need for people to be taken to mountains to be prayed for.
And the clergyman says that Eastern Province is one of the most developed provinces in the country.
He says that peasant farmers in the region need to be aided by placing farming inputs in their hands so that they can contribute more into the breadbasket of the nation.

This is means that passengers travelling between the Chipata-Lusaka route are now paying 150 Kwacha rebased.
A check by Breeze News found that new fare charts have been put up at some of the bus stations.
The increase in bus fares follows government’s decision to increase fuel prices two weeks ago.
The new fares come about after transport operators consulted with government through RTSA, the Road Transport and Safety Agency.

Petauke Boarding High School will remain closed as the schools re-open on Monday 13th May, 2013 due to poor sanitation at the institution.
The Magistrate Court on 11th April 2013, issued an order to close the school until the learning institution meets minimum health standards recommended by the court and the health inspectors.
And the epidemic preparedness meeting held at Petauke District health Office yesterday, issued a further warning to school authorities to abide by the court order.
This was after it was revealed that commemorations of the Labour Day on 1st May were held at the Petauke Boarding High School against the court order.
Members of the epidemic preparedness said that should there be any proof that social gatherings are taking place within the prohibited Petauke Boarding High School the School authority will face court prosecution.
Among the noted causes for closure of the school were that there is no water supply for flushing and cleaning the water closets at the boys and girls ablution blocks, dilapidated ablution blocks, open defecation by pupils and poor drainage systems from ablution blocks.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ says that it has not yet set a date for the Chipata Central Constituency by-election.
ECZ Head of Public Relations, Cris Akufuna told Breeze News that the date will only be set after the commission receives communication from speaker of the national assembly.
When nullifying the seat on Tuesday, Judge Marvin Mwanamwamba instructed the ECZ to set a date for the by-election.
Meanwhile the MMD, Movement for Multi-Party Democracy says that it does not see anything wrong in allowing Rueben Mtolo Phiri re-contesting the seat.
MMD Provincial Chairperson, Alexander Miti says that Mr. Phiri performed well during his time as Member of Parliament.
He however, says that Mr. Phiri’s adoption will depend on the events that will unfold after the date for the by-election has been set.
Mr. Phiri lost his seat after the Supreme Court ruled that there was malpractice in the way Mr. Phiri conducted his election campaign after he donated one thousand Kwacha rebased to RCZ, Reformed Church in Zambia.
