Police has arrested one of the poachers involved in the killing of a wildlife warden in Nyimba district three weeks ago.
Eastern Province Permanent Secretary, Chanda Kasolo also says that police have recovered a homemade gun from the poacher.
Speaking in a telephone interview from Nyimba this afternoon, Mr. Kasolo says that the suspect is now being interrogated to establish the whereabouts of his six colleagues.
Mr. Kasolo says that government will not leave any stone unturned to ensure that all the poachers involved in the killing of Rodrick Ngulube are arrested.
He says that government through the Ministry of Home Affairs has stationed police, paramilitary and wildlife officers in the Luangwa Game Management Area including the location where the shooting incident happened.
Efforts to get a comment from Eastern Province Police Commissioner, Alex Chilufya failed by News time.
