A 20 years old mother and her child have drowned in a well in Petauke district.

A 20 years old woman and her two years old daughter of Chipili Farms in Chief Nyamphande’s area in Petauke district have drowned in a well.
Eastern Province Deputy Police Commissioner, Patrick Bili, confirmed this to Breeze News.
Mr. Bili says that the woman, Mary Lungu and her daughter, Beauty Banda, died on Thursday last week.
He explained that the two fell into a well, as Ms. Lungu was drawing water around 18 hours.
Mr. Bili says that the woman is believed to have been under epilepsy attack when she fell into the well and that police therefore, do not suspect any foul play.
He says that the bodies of the two have been buried.
