A woman with albinism in Lundazi has been brutally murdered with some of her body parts chopped off.

A 37 year old woman living with Albinism in Lundazi District has been brutally murdered in a suspected ritual killing.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner Eugene Sibote confirmed to Breeze News the incident which happened on Tuesday around 19 hours in Kalumbu village under Chief Magodi.
Mr. Sibote says that Charity Zimba, and her 42 year old husband, Robin Nyirongo, had just gone to sleep when they heard a knock at the door.
He says that Nyirongo went to the door after someone called out his name, but that when he opened the door he was stabbed with a sharp instrument and fainted.
Mr. Sibote says that four men then entered the house and cut off the hand of Charity and pulled out some of her teeth before escaping.
He says that the brother in law then rushed to the scene after hearing her screams just in time to get a narration from Charity, before she passed away.
The body of the victim is currently lying in Lundazi District Hospital Mortuary while her husband is said to be recovering in the same hospital.
Mr. Sibote says that police have launched investigations into the gruesome murder.
And the police commissioner says that traditional healers should stop misleading people that body parts of people living with Albinism have special powers to make them rich.
