Zengani Ceremony Organising Committee Chairman Costen Zimba has told Breeze News today that preparations have advanced.

Mr. Zimba says the ceremony set for this Saturday is expected to be graced by President Edgar Lungu as an invitation has been extended to the head of state.

He revealed that Paramount Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni people in Chipata is also among those invited to attend the ceremony.

Other traditional leaders invited include Chief Mbelwa of Malawi, Chiefs Kathumba, Mwanjabanthu, Phikamalaza, Nsefu, Chinyaku and Mbang’ombe.

Mr. Zimba indicated that the annual event was key in unifying the two tribes in the chiefdom as it was also promoting the One Zambia, One Nation motto.
