AVAP condemns tribal politics

The Anti Voter Apathy Project AVAP has criticised some political parties that are encouraging politics of tribalism and regionalism.

Regional Coordinator, Maumba Ngoma says that AVAP is shocked that some political parties in Eastern Province have started encouraging people to vote on tribal lines.

Mr. Ngoma told Breeze News this morning that political parties need to understand that most of the internal conflicts in African countries are as a result of tribalism.

He says that the political parties should desist from encouraging regionalism and concentrate on real issues.

Mr Ngoma says that people are interested in hearing what political parties will do for them if they are voted into power unlike tribalism.
