AVAP unhappy with political parties against Referendum.

Anti-Voter Apathy Project AVAP in Eastern Province has condemned political parties encouraging people to vote NO in the Referendum on the Bill of Rights on August 11.

AVAP Provincial Coordinator Maumba Ngoma has told Breeze News that there are some political parties that are going round the communities telling people to vote NO in the referendum.

Mr. Ngoma says that it is unfortunate that instead of concentrating on their campaigns, politicians have now decided to politicize the referendum.

He says the question in the referendum deals with human rights and should therefore not be politicized.

Mr Ngoma has urged politicians to concentrate on campaigns as time is not on their side.

He has advised people not to listen to what he described as time wasters and concentrate on understanding the referendum document.
