Eastern Province Permanent Secretary, Chanda Kasolo has challenged the Patriotic Front Party in the province to reveal the names of civil servants that are involved in politics.
Mr. Kasolo told Breeze News that his office will discipline any civil servant involved in active politics.
He was commenting on a statement where PF Provincial Secretary, Eddy Kapalu on Friday told a media briefing that he is aware that a cartel has been formed of five civil servants trying to frustrate the ruling party.
Mr. Kasolo says it is not good for Mr. Kapalu to hide the names of the civil servants trying to frustrate the party because government has made it clear that it will deal with everyone involved in active politics.
Mr. Kasolo says it is dangerous for the PF Provincial Secretary to issue such a statement to the public because cadres might start attacking the civil servants.
And Mr. Kasolo has reiterated that any civil servant wanting to join politics should resign from the civil service.
