Five people from one family have been hospitalised at Chipata General Hospital from acute food poisoning, which is usually caused by consuming stale food.
Acting Medical Superintendent, Dr Daniel Makawa confirmed the incident saying that the victims were 2 males and 3 females.
Dr Makawa says that all the five are now out of danger adding that three were expected to be discharged while two would remain for observation.
