Forty-five dip tanks constructed at a cost of six million Kwacha

Forty-five dip tanks have been constructed at a cost of about six million kwacha in Eastern Province.

Provincial Veterinary Officer, Arthur Mumbolomena says this is out of 66 dip tanks that are being constructed in the province.

Dr. Mumbolomena said this when Eastern Province Minister, Makebi Zulu toured Katopola Livestock Service Centre in Chipata yesterday.

Dr. Mumbolomena says the remaining 21 dip tanks are at 66 percent completion.

He says the dip tanks have been spread in all districts and will be useful to livestock farmers for dipping their animals to prevent them from diseases.

And Provincial Minister, Makebi Zulu says government attaches great importance to livestock farming and will ensure that facilities such as the Katopola Livestock Service Centre receive funding in the next national budget.

He says that all districts in the province should have livestock centres for keeping animals.
