Some government departments in Eastern Province have not received funding for operations since April this year.
Investigations carried out by Breeze News discovered that most government departments in the province have not been carrying out most activities due to lack of funding from government.
And when contacted for a comment, Eastern Province Permanent Secretary, Chanda Kasolo acknowledged that 2016 has been a difficult year for the government.
Mr. Kasolo says the fall of the copper price, depreciation of the Kwacha and the August 11th general elections affected the operations of government.
He however, says now that elections are over, investors who had stopped bringing money to Zambia have come back.
Mr. Kasolo says that all stalled projects will continue and departments will be funded.
