Only about 4 per cent of construction works carried out on Lundazi-Chama road.

Upgrading road works to bituminous standard of the Lundazi-Chama road have only reached about 4 per cent.

Road Development Agency RDA Regional Manager, Thomas Zimba has confirmed to Breeze News the works which started in January this year

Mr Zimba explained that Sable Construction Company, which was hired to carry out the project on Lot 5, will work on 40 of the 120 kilometres road up to Magodi area.

The rest of the Isoka-Muyombe-Chama road and part of the Lundazi-Chama road is being worked on by other contractors.

He explained that Sable Construction Company was also hired to work on the 16 kilometres Lundazi Boma-Lusunta border road.

Mr Zimba says that the project being executed by Sable and funded by NRF, National Road Fund will gobble 417.1 million Kwacha.

Killian and Musonda Consulting firm is the consultant for the project, whose contract was signed in December last year.
