Police in Chipata arrest a pastor and a prophet for indecently assaulting two girls while praying for them.

Police in Chipata have apprehended a pastor and a prophet belonging to an unknown church for indecently assaulting two girls while praying for them.
Eastern Province Deputy police commissioner, Alfred Nawa who confirmed the incident named the two as prophet Misheck Ngalande and Pastor Ben Banda.
Mr. Nawa says that the two were arrested yesterday but the incident happened on 25th April this year in the hills near Nabvutika Compound where the two were conducting prayers and the matter was reported to the police by one of the girls who managed to escape.
He says that the two have been charged with indecent assault and will appear in court soon.
And Mr. Nawa says that police have arrested 24 year old Dina Lungu of Chipata’s old Jim Compound who dumped a seven months old foetus in a pit latrine.
Mr. Nawa also says that two people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle, cell phone and money stolen in Petauke district last month.
Mr. Nawa says that Collins Kalonga Phiri of Matero Compound and Elesani Banda of Garden Compound in Lusaka were picked by police in Lusaka after investigations by police in Petauke.
The duo has been charged with two counts of robbery and has been handed over to Petauke police.
Meanwhile Mr, Nawa says that police in Lundazi have lunched a manhunt for David Mushanga of Kapote village in Chief Phikamalaza’s area who set ablaze a house belonging to David Nyirongo of the same address and destroyed goods worth 800 Kwacha rebased.
He says that the incident happened yesterday around 13 hours.
