Some residents in Chadiza district have complained over delay by the local authority to issue them plots.
Speaking to Breeze News in Chadiza, some selected applicants complained that the local authority is not showing them plots after being successful.
The residents claimed to have bought plots in April last year.
And when contacted for a comment Chadiza district Council Director of Works and Planning, Rutherford Nduli, revealed that the local authority is also having a challenge because they are waiting for a surveyor from the Ministry of Lands in Chipata to demarcate the plots.
Mr. Nduli says the officers from Chipata have been promising to travel to Chadiza but this has not been done.
He however, stated that the local authority has hired a surveyor, who is expected to be in the district this week.
