People travelling on the Chipata-Mfuwe road have complained that they will soon be cut off from Chipata town due to the poor state of the Chipata- Mfuwe road this rainy season.
Chiphonde Malama and Yesaya Ngwira of Chiundama village in Chief Mnkhanya’s area told Breeze News that the Chipata- Mfuwe road which is being worked on has worsened with the own set of the rains.
The duo says that the road is holding a lot of water since the area is a valley and motorists are finding it difficult to drive on the road.
They appealed to government to ensure that Sable Contractors, who are doing the works to quickly finish tarring the road to make travelling easy.
Sable Construction Company assured motorists at the beginning of the rainy season that it would address their concerns.
