Works on the seven kilometre stretch of urban roads in Petauke district have stalled.
This came to light during a live “Budget Tracking” programme on Breeze FM this morning.

Provincial Local Government and Housing, Senior Engineer, Mukuni Makalani says that the11 million Kwacha road project whose contract was awarded in 2011 was supposed to be completed last year, but no substantial works have been done up to now.
Mr. Makalani was not in a position to disclose what has exactly caused the delay in completing the road works.
He however, mentioned that there are some challenges that have caused the delay but the matter is being handled by the Ministry of Local government Headquarters in Lusaka.
