A company operating in Chadiza ordered to refund money, which it got from job seekers.

A company operating in Chadiza district has been ordered to refund money, which it got from job seekers.
Lansum Agricultural Company had asked those that wanted to be employed to pay 20 Kwacha for application forms and another 50 Kwacha for interviews and orientations.
But District Commissioner, Paul Phiri says that the company should immediately refund the job seekers because under the Zambian law, it is not allowed.
Mr. Phiri has wondered how people looking for employment can have money to pay for application forms and interviews.
The issue came to light after about 47 people who attended the interviews complained of being charged money when seeking employment.
But Company Coordinator Namangolwa Samulinga defended the move saying that the money was meant for food and stationary.
