A finished clinic building has turned into a white elephant in Chief Misholo’s area while people struggle to seek medical attention.
Headman Musamaria, Rab Mawere has told Breeze News that works on Chipembele Clinic were completed seven years ago, but the facility is not working.
He complained that some people have died on their way to health facilities like Chizenje because of the long distance from their homes.
Headman Musamaria says that villagers were asked to build a staff house and toilets, which was done but government has not opened the facility.
The traditional leader appealed to the Ministry of Health to ensure that Chipembele Clinic starts operating so that local people can be assisted.
