Construction works of a 250 thousand kwacha livestock service center in Vubwi district has delayed to start.
Vubwi District Acting Fisheries and Livestock Coordinator, Masiye Banda confirmed this to Breeze News.
Dr. Banda says the contractor, Ndanji Contractors and General Dealers was handed over the site in April but up to now he has not started working.
He says the contractor has lost more than a month because of his delay to start the work whose contract period is three months.
Dr. Banda says completion of the construction work, which was supposed to be next month is expected to delay.
Meanwhile, Dr. Banda did not mention weather the contractor has been paid some money or not but indicated that the contractor was facing logistical problems.
He explained that the contractor receives money direct from the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock in Lusaka while the district office just monitors the works.
