A newly procured grader is sitting idle for Petauke’s Kapoche Constituency waiting to be commissioned.

A newly procured grader in Kapoche Constituency in Petauke district is sitting idle waiting to be commissioned by the area member of parliament, Nicholas Banda.
Breeze FM Correspondent, Mercy Maseko reports that this has raised concern among some residents.
One of the residents, Allan Banda says that the grader despite being new had turned into a white elephant.
Mr. Banda wondered how a grader could be left sitting idle, when a number of roads in the constituency are in a deplorable state.
But Petauke District Council Secretary, James Lungu says that the grader will soon be commissioned by the Member of Parliament.
Mr. Lungu stated that all procedures had been concluded and that what was remaining was to commission the earth moving equipment.
