A project to rehabilitate Kafoteka road in Nsingo Ward of Chipata district has stalled for almost five years.
Nsingo Ward Councillor, Rodgers Mwanza has told Breeze News that the project has stalled because it has been difficult to procure a grader to work on the road.
Mr. Mwanza revealed that 49,000 Kwacha was allocated to the project and this money has been sitting in the bank all this long.
He says Chipata Municipal Council has been unable to assist in the matter because it does not have graders, which are working.
Meanwhile Mr. Mwanza says that a project to construct a clinic and a staff house at Feni Sub Centre have been completed at a cost of 256,000 Kwacha from CDF, Constituency Development Fund.
He says that the clinic which has already been electrified will assist people as Mwami Adventist Hospital is usually congested.
The civic leader has appealed to Ministry of Health to send health staff to the new health facility.
