A Roman Catholic Charismatic group in Sinda district has been ex-communicated from the church.

A Roman Catholic Charismatic group calling itself Catholic One from Vulamkoko area of Chassa Parish in Sinda district has been ex-communicated from the church.
St. Anne’s Parish Communications Officer, Father Jacob Zulu confirmed this to Breeze News.
Father Zulu explained that the group, which has been in existence for fifteen years, has been banned from the church, following several attempts by senior church officials to ask the group to co-operate with the church.
He says that in a letter issued by Chipata Diocese Bishop, George Lungu, the group has been banned from attending any catholic meetings and using catholic symbols.
Father Zulu also warned members of the Catholic Church who will be found with the ex-communicated group that they will also be ex-communicated from the church.
He has advised the ex-communicated group to register itself with the registrar of societies if they want to be independent.
