A serious water problem has hit Kazembe Ward in the valley area of Lundazi district.
Kazembe Ward Councillor, Reuben Zimba has confirmed the development to Breeze News in Lundazi.
Mr. Zimba indicated that the situation has forced villagers in the area to share same water sources with wild animals, a situation he described as an acceptable and a health hazard.
He further indicated that people are now walking long distances in search of the commodity.
Most affected areas include Chibeza, Njoka, Zokwe and Kazembe Central.
Mr. Zimba disclosed that the area has about 10 boreholes against a population of over 8,000 people.
He says that the situation has worsened because the area did not receive enough rains last season.
