Eastern Province has received all the ballot papers for Thursday’s general elections.
Provincial Electoral Officer, Alex Bwalya has confirmed to Breeze News.
Mr. Bwalya says that only a few lids for ballot boxes for the referendum to be used in Nyimba and Sinda districts have not yet been delivered.
He however, says that this is not a problem as ECZ, Electoral Commission of Zambia has other ballot boxes, which can be used if the lids do not arrive on time.
Mr. Bwalya explained that each of the ballot boxes has different colour of lids depending on the election under, which it falls.
And Mr. Bwalya says that all polling station staffs in Eastern Province are expected to be at their polling stations by 15 hours tomorrow.
He says that ECZ will not allow a situation where polling staff sleep at their home regardless of how close the polling center is to their house.
