Katete has been singled out for exhibiting improved compliance levels on issues pertaining to consumer and competition.
Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, CCPC Provincial Investigator, Emmanuel Zulu told Breeze News that out of sixteen traders who were inspected last month, only two were found with minimal faults.
Mr. Zulu observed that the development will be of benefit to the consumers because they will not be subjected to inferior products or services.
He says that the office has been receiving more people going to report and that this was a good indicator that awareness levels are increasing.
Mr. Zulu revealed that the commission will soon be conducting a tour in the rural parts of the province to further sensitize consumers and traders on the Consumer and Competition ACT.
