Bad road worries taxi drivers operating on Chipata-Chiparamba route.

Taxi drivers operating on the Chipata-Chiparamba route have complained over the poor state of the road.

Speaking to Breeze News, the drivers say that the stretch between Chiparamba Turnoff to the Sub Centre has almost become impassable and will worsen when the rains start.

They claimed that efforts to get the area councillor and Kasenengwa Member of Parliament, Victoria Kalima to address the matter have failed.

The drivers say that government needs to rehabilitate the whole stretch from the turnoff to Chiparamba sub centre and also the stretch from the sub centre to Kalichero turnoff.

And when contacted, Ms. Kalima says that works to grade the road cannot be done because the grader, which was being used to grade the Mukowe-Chiparamba road, broke down.
She explained that it was now up to Chipata Municipal Council to find another grader to complete the works, which include the stretch between Chiparamba Sub Centre and the turnoff.
