Ballot papers for the August 11th general election have arrived in Chipata district.
A check by Breeze News at Chipata Municipal Council yesterday found officers from the council offloading the materials from a truck in the presence of police officers while officials from various political parties were also present.
And Chipata District Electoral Officer, Davies Musenge confirmed to Breeze News that the district has received ballot papers for all the four constituencies.
Mr. Musenge says the Ballot papers include those for Presidential, Mayoral, Members of Parliament, Councilors and the Referendum election.
Mr. Musenge says verification of the ballot papers started yesterday at the council in the presence of all members of participating political parties and police officers.
He says officers from the Zambia Police and council will provide security for the ballot papers until they are dispatched to the different polling stations on Wednesday this week.
