Bus road accident on Great East Road claims five lives

Five people have died while 34 others sustained injuries in an accident involving a Lusaka bound Juldan bus that was coming from Lundazi yesterday.
The accident occurred in Rufunsa area around 11:30 hours due to a tyre burst.
Lusaka Province Police Commissioner, Charity Katanga and police spokesperson Charity Munganga- Chanda confirmed the accident in separate interviews yesterday.
Ms. Katanga said the injured persons were rushed to Chongwe District Hospital.
And Ms. Chanda said two people died on the spot while others sustained injuries and were rushed to Chongwe Hospital.
The bus was extensively damaged.
