Certificate holders allowed to apply for teaching jobs in the Ministry of Education.

Government has reversed its decision not to recruit teachers with certificate qualifications.
Minister of Education, Michael Kaingu says that the Ministry of Education will recruit certificate holders until after 2016 when the last graduates come out of Monze and Lyambai Colleges of Education.
Speaking during a Press Briefing in Kitwe this morning, Dr. Kaingu explained that the two colleges despite being private, have been training teachers with mandate from government.
He says that government did not want to discriminate teachers with certificates, adding that certificate holders should apply for jobs just like diploma and degree holders.
Dr. Kaingu announced that the Ministry of Education has since extended the recruitment exercise to August 21st to allow certificate holders to apply.
And the minister, who apologized over the matter, says that the Ministry will revisit the age limit for applicants adding that those above the age of 40 will be allowed to apply but not those that have retired.
