Chief Chanje of the Chewa people has objected any plans to reduce the number of tobacco floors in the next marketing season.

The traditional leader also says that EFAZ, the Eastern Fodya Association of Zambia should be allowed to run the floors in the next marketing season.

This is according to a letter, which he has written addressed to TBZ, Tobacco Board of Zambia availed to Breeze News.

He says that farmers will not allow TBZ to reduce the floors to one main floor, as it will make them suffer when selling their produce.

And the traditional leader has advised TBZ to sort out operational problems at floors instead of reducing the number.
