Chiefs Msoro and Madzimawe differ over boundary in Nyakatokoli area.

A boundary dispute has ensued between Chief Msoro of the Kunda in Mambwe district and Chief Madzimawe of the Ngoni in Chipata over Nyakatokoli area.
Chief Msoro has since ordered school management at Nyakatokoli Primary School to transfer all pupils from Chief Madzimawe’s area.

Speaking when new Malambo Member of Parliament, Jack Shuma paid a courtesy call on him at his palace, Chief Msoro charged that Chief Madzimawe’s Indunas were disrespecting him over Nyakatokoli land.
He said that his predecessors were not living like the way he is staying with the current Chief Madzimawe.
The traditional leader stated that Provincial Minister, Malozo Sichone was aware of the boundary dispute.
But when contacted for comment, Chief Madzimawe stated that it was Chief Msoro, who is trying to get land, which does not belong to his chiefdom.
Chief Madzimawe explained that the Kunda chief had also gone further to demand part of the land in Chief Misholo, Senior Chief Nzamane and Chief Mbangómbe’s areas.
He said that the boundary was clear in the area and wondered why Chief Msoro wanted to cause unnecessary misunderstandings.
Chief Madzimawe described as regrettable the move taken by Chief Msoro to order the transfer of all pupils at Nyakatokoli Primary School, stating that there are better ways of resolving such issues than involving children.
