Government has expressed sadness with shoddy works of constructing a service and training centre in Kagunda area of Chipata district.
Director General for ZCF, the Zambia Cooperative Federation Limited James Chirwa says the works that have been done so far are disappointing.
Mr. Chirwa says the reason why government choose to hire a Chinese company was to ensure that quality work is done.
He says government is spending huge sums of money in the initiative and needs buildings that will stand a test of time.
Mr Chirwa says government will not allow lazy kind of activities adding that people should attach the seriousness that the project deserves.
Mr. Chirwa asked Shandong Dejior Company Limited to redo the work.
The contractor has so far built a storage shed, ablution block and a kitchen among other structures, which were not properly done.
Meanwhile the company Translator Zhao Chuan Dong had a tough time explaining to the director on the shoddy works.
Mr. Dong says he will communicate to management in Lusaka about the issues raised so that something can be done.
