Chipata Branch Stanbic Banker, Abel Lungu changes plea to not guilty.

Trial involving a banker from Stanbic Bank, Chipata branch, Abel Lungu, 34, has taken a twist, with the accused changing his plea to not guilty.
Lungu 34, who is charged with four counts of theft, appeared for mention before magistrate Stanford Ngobola on Friday.
He changed his plea to not guilty, barely a day after he pleaded guilty to all the four charges.
On Thursday, Lungu pleaded guilty to all four charges of forgery, altering false documents, theft by public servant and money laundering.
Lungu’s change of plea, took the state counsel by surprise.
And Magistrate Ngobola, has granted bail to Lungu at a fee of 10, 000 Kwacha, with two working sureties.
