Chipata Municipal Council has procured state of the art survey equipment that will help the local authority deal with plots and land.
Chipata Town Clerk Davies Musenge has confirmed that the equipment will help sort out many challenges that the council has been facing in dealing with land issues.
Mr. Musenge says the new equipment will also help the council plot new area that the council is trying to put up in the district.
He says the equipment was procured at a cost of about two hundred thousand kwacha.
The Town clerk says the supplier of the equipment will also train officers from the council on how to utilize the new equipment.
He says the lower version equipment that the council was using broke down, a thing that forced the council to be asking for assistance from the Ministry of Lands.
The Survey Equipment was procured using the capital fund at the council.
