Chipwete Bridge along the Chadiza- Vubwi road has collapsed due to heavy vehicles, there by cutting Vubwi from Chadiza district.
Khumba ward Councillor Shadreck Phiri has confirmed the development to Zambia News and Information Services in Chadiza today.
Mr. Phiri says five schools and one clinic have also been cut off from Chadiza Boma.
He has wondered how officials from Chadiza will deliver services to the people in the affected area.
The councilor said the bridge was destroyed last week and motorists are finding it difficult to cross over to the other end to deliver services to the school and the clinic.
Mr. Phiri has appealed to government to quickly construct a new bridge to save the lives of the people in the area.
