Twenty-six former pupils who obtained six points in their grade twelve results at Chizongwe Technical School in the last three years have been awarded with a trip to Malawi.
Head of Department for Business Studies at Chizongwe Technical School Tifa Longwe confirmed the development to Breeze News this morning.
Mr. Longwe says that school management decided to fund the 20,000 Kwacha trip to appreciate the efforts of the boys and show them that hard work pays.
He says that the trip is also being used to encourage those that are still in school to work hard.
And Mushipi Mwanza and Isaac Mwenda, who completed grade 12 in 2013 paid tribute to school management for awarding them with a trip to Malawi.
They duo advised their colleagues, who are still in secondary school to work hard.
The former pupils are expected to visit Bunde College of Agriculture, Kamuzu Academy and spend some leisure time at Lake Malawi in Salima.
Meanwhile Breeze FM Managing Director and Station Owner, Mike Daka has told the former pupils that getting Six Points was just the beginning of their professional life.
Mr. Daka pointed that it was important for the former pupils, some of whom are already in university to carefully select their careers.
He said that most people find themselves in professions, which they did not intend to pursue, a thing which should be avoided if they want to succeed and be happy in life.
Mr Daka also paid tribute to management at Chizongwe Technical School for appreciating the hard work, which the pupils put in to produce good results.
