Confusion rocks Patriotic Front Party in Chadiza District

Misunderstandings in the PF, Patriotic Front Party in Chadiza district have taken a new twist with the constituency committee accusing district officials of causing confusion at last weeks’ failed constituency elections.
According to a press statement availed to Breeze News in Chadiza, PF Chadiza Constituency Information and Publicity Secretary, Emmanuel Banda says the constituency committee strongly believes that the confusion was sponsored by some people with interest to become member of parliament.
Mr Banda says that the elections did not take place because district officials rejected the 24 member committees from each ward to vote, which was against the electoral guidelines of the party.
He also says that the district officials did not allow delegates who came from far wards to vote, claiming that they were not supposed to be ferried by anyone aspiring for a seat.
Mr. Banda says that accusations by the district officials that the constituency committee intended to bribe the delegates with Chitenge materials and salt are contrary to what actually came out.

He says investigations into the matter have revealed that three named officials broke into the house of the son to the constituency chairperson and stole the 178 Chitenge materials and four bags of salt meant for his own business and not for elections.
Mr. Banda says that the matter is currently being handled by the police.
Last week the constituency elections were cancelled due to confusion which ensued over allegations of electoral malpractices.
