Conservation farmers in Chadiza district have been advised to prepare two limas in order to benefit from fertilizer and seed under the food security pack.
Chadiza District Community Development Coordinator, Kennedy Chileka has observed that most of the farmers have not prepared enough land for conservation farming.
Mr. Chileka has warned the lead farmers to monitor their farmers who are the beneficiaries of the food security pack so that they use the fertilizer for the intended purpose.
He was speaking during a visit to check on how conservation farmers are faring in the community.
And one of the lead farmers, Rhoda Phiri complained that they find it difficult to monitor the projects because of the long distances to reach farmers.
And Chadiza District Commissioner, Paul Phiri assured the famers that government has procured some bicycles to be given to them, which will soon be taken to the district.
He urged the farmers to be serious with their work.
