Construction works of three dip tanks in Vubwi district has reached 70 percent.

Vubwi District Acting Fisheries and Livestock Coordinator, Masiye Banda confirmed to Breeze News that only 30 percent of the works which include roofing is remaining for the dip tanks to be handed over to government.

Dr. Banda named the dip tanks as M’lawe, Mzebe and Zozwe.

He says the dip tanks whose contract period is three months will be completed by the end of this month and will be handed over to government before the end of July.

Dr. Banda expressed happiness that the 750 thousand kwacha project of constructing four dip tanks is moving at a good pace.

He added that Namukale Contractors and General Dealers, who is the contractor for the project has already moved to working on the fourth dip tank, which is Mbande area.

Dr. Banda says the dip tanks will be of good help to livestock farmers in Vubwi district to treat their animals, which are prone to tick borne diseases.
