DAPP accused of diverting from its goals

Some concerned community members in Chipata have accused Development Aid from People to People DAPP of diverting its goals from their initial objective of assisting the vulnerable community members with cheaper clothes.

The concerned Chipata Community Members told Breeze News that DAAP has now moved to profit maximisation.

The community members who spoke on condition of anonymity said that DAPP has now become a full business entity prior to what they are known for, supplying cheaper clothing to the less privilege.

They mentioned that the organization is now preserving good and quality clothes donated by the European well-wishers to the poor people living within Eastern province for those ordering in bulk.

But when contacted for a comment DAPP regional manager Manfred Banda refuted the allegation stating that the organization is still operating within its intended objectives of assisting vulnerable communities.

Mr Banda says that they do not control the people who buy clothes, as everyone is free to buy at affordable prices.
