Some villages in Chief Misholo’s area in Chipata have welcomed the announcement by Ministry of Education that Mboza Secondary School will be electrified.
Speaking to Breeze News, the villagers indicated that having the school electrified will assist pupils in their studies.
William Zulu observed that it has been a challenge for pupils to study in the night because of lack of electricity.
Mr Zulu appealed to government to expedite the process of connecting power to the school.
He however, called on the Ministry of Education to also ensure that it moves quickly in putting up boarding facilities at the school.
Mr. Zulu stated that pupils who come from distant places face serious challenges to find accommodation.
However, last month Provincial Education Officer, Allan Lingambe indicated that both matters were being treated with serious attention.
