Defending Africa Cup champions Zambia held to a one all draw by a 10 man Ethiopia.

Zambia has started her title defence of the Africa Cup of Nations on a disappointing note, after being held to a one all draw by a 10 man Ethiopia.
Gabonese referee, Castane Otogo sent off Ethiopian goalkeeper, Jemal Tassew, after a rough challenge on Chisamba Lungu in the closing stages of the first half.
A few minutes later, Zambia made use of their numerical advantage, as Collins Mbesuma put the Chipolopolo Boys ahead.
However, after the break, Ethiopia put up a spirited preface and this paid off as skipper Adane Girma’s low short beat Kennedy Mweene to equalise in the 64th minute.
In another Group C encounter, ten-man Nigeria were held to a 1-1 draw as Burkina Faso scored with the last kick of their opening Group C match at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Alain Traore slid home in the 94th minute as the Super Eagles failed to stop Jonathan Pitroipa’s cutback.
Emmanuel Emenike had opened the scoring after 23 minutes, showing great hunger to latch onto Ideye Brown’s flick.
