Works of tarring the Lundazi- Chama road have delayed to start.
Road Development Agency RDA Regional Engineer, Thomas Zimba says that the contractors hired to carry out the works have not moved on site because they are waiting for funding.
Mr Zimba however, says that the works are expected to start next month.
He explained that Sable Transport and Construction Company will work on 40 kilometres of the stretch from Lundazi Boma to Magodi area.
He says that another contractor, China Civil Engineering will work on the remaining stretch, which is almost 84 kilometres.
Mr Zimba explained that the contract also involves tarring of 16 kilometres of Lundazi-Lusunta border road and the works will be done by Sable Transport and Construction Company.
