Disabled organisations in Lusaka accused of frustrating efforts to lobby government for creation of disabled ministry.

Eastern Centre for Young People with Disability has accused other disabled organisations in Lusaka of frustrating efforts to lobby government for the creation of for their own ministry.
Speaking to Breeze News, Chief Executive Officer, David Lungu, says disabled organisations in the province are aware of organisations which are trying to block calls for disabled people to have their own representation.
Mr. Lungu says these disabled organisations do not want disabled people to have independent representation because of fear of losing direct funding from donors.
He has warned that these organisations will soon be exposed.
Mr. Lungu has however, vowed that disabled organisations in the province will continue to pursue for an independent disabled ministry because this is what Malawi and South Africa have done.
