The Patriotic Front PF Party has formally started distributing its party manifesto.
This was done yesterday when President Edgar Lungu launched PF campaigns for the August 11 general election on the Copperbelt at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
President Lungu stated that the manifesto contained the PF development vision from 2016 to 2021.
He encouraged Zambians to read the document so that they can understand what the PF intends to do for them if voted back into power on August 11.
And President Lungu stated that the PF wants to ensure that all children have access to quality education while building hospitals in each and every district in the country with adequate drugs.
The head of state reemphasized his government’s vision to diversify the energy sector by not only relying on hydro-power but developing solar energy.
Meanwhile President Lungu has directed the police in the country to ensure that it protects Zambians from any form of political violence.
He advised that the police command on the Copperbelt to use their own judgement when handling some of their cases involving political violence than relying on the office of the inspector general in Lusaka.
President Lungu regretted the violence that occurred on Friday in Lusaka stating that UPND cadres attacked PF cadres without being provoked when they were coming from the presidential nomination centre.
