East Minister Sichone and PS Kasolo issue conflicting statements on quality of works on Chipata-Mfuwe road

Eastern Province Minister Malozo Sichone has commended Sable Transport and Construction Limited for carrying out proper work on Chipata-Mfuwe road.
Last Saturday, Vice President Inonge Wina equally hailed the company for carrying out proper road works.
The minister who was in accompany of the Vice President has
told Breeze News this morning that it is encouraging that a Zambian contractor was carrying out such standards of work on Chipata-Mfuwe road.
He says it is this reason that the government will always support Zambian contractors.
However, recently Eastern province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo described the works on Chipata-Mfuwe road as disgusting.
Mr. Kasolo observed that the quality of works were a waste of national resources and advised the contractor to learn from companies like Motal Engel who are performing quality work on the Great East Road.
