Mr. Mwamba has been accused of sending a gang of unruly youths to disrupt constituency and district elections in Vubwi, who attacked party members and grabbed cell phones on September 5.

He says that during the fracas, Sinda District Secretary was assaulted, a situation which has brought the name of the party into serious contempt and ridicule.
Mr. Mwamba has been ordered not to take part in any party programmes or meet with any member of the party during his suspension period.
And efforts to get a comment from Mr. Mwamba proved futile as his mobile phone was unreachable.
