Eastern Province will this weekend be exhibiting its tourism at the Zambia International Trade Fare in Ndola.
Eastern Province Permanent Secretary, Chanda Kasolo has confirmed.
He says that this is in line with the pronouncement by President Edgar Lungu that he has created a Northern Tourism Circuit consisting of Eastern, Northern, M’chinga and Luapula Provinces to start marketing their tourism.
He says Eastern Province has potential to grow its tourism and start earning income from its tourism attraction areas such as the South Luangwa National Park and traditional ceremonies if various measures are put in place.
Mr. Kasolo mentioned the pricing of goods in Zambian Kwacha by lodges in the South Luangwa National park and building museums for the ethnic groups in the province as one way of earning income from tourism.
