Eastern Water and Sewerage Company has finally started pumping water from Lutembwe Dam One, which had almost dried up.
Company Public Relations Officer, Henry Kashoki has confirmed this to Breeze News.
Mr. Kashoki has attributed the increase in water levels to enough rainfall that the district has received.
He says that from now onwards the district will not experience any unnecessary water interruptions because even power supply has stabilized at the two water plants.
For the past three months, Chipata District has been experiencing water shortages in areas that receive water from Lutembwe Dam One, because the water levels where too low.
