Eighteen Malawians arrested for entering and staying in the country illegally.

Eighteen Malawians have been arrested in Eastern Province for illegally staying and entry in the country.
Immigration Spokesperson Namati Nshinka and Immigration Department Regional Manager, Moses Chimbala have confirmed the arrest of the Malawians.
Mr. Nshinka says the Malawians who were all males were arrested after the department carried out routine inspection on the foreign nationals.
He says the 18 Malawians were currently detained at Chipata’s Namuseche Prison awaiting prosecution by the courts.
The operation was carried out on Saturday and Sunday.
